TitanCard - General Usage
Q-1) Why do I need a TitanCard?
The TitanCard is the official identification card for every student, faculty and staff member at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. It is utilized as your University ID, meal plan card, on-campus debit card (Titan Dollars), library card, sports pass for Titan athletic events, door access card for some residence halls and computer labs along with your access card for the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC).
Q-2) Where can I go to get my TitanCard?
The TitanCard can be issued at Titan Central in Reeve Memorial Union with a valid form of ID (Drivers license, State identification card, Passport, or Military ID).

Q-4) I lost my TitanCard! … What do I do?
Option 1: Log into GET Funds --- For information on utilizing this convenient new service, go to GET Funds.
Option 2: Call Titan Central at (920) 424-1234. We will place your card on hold so no one else can access your meal plan or Titan Dollars. We will also check to see if your card has been turned in at Titan Central. If you find your card you must physically bring your card to Titan Central to remove the hold. If you do not find your card you must come to Titan Central to get a new TitanCard. The old card will be canceled and any remaining Titan Dollars or meals will automatically transfer to your new card. You will need to provide a valid government issued photo ID (Driver's License, State or Military Identification Card, or Passport) in order to receive a new TitanCard. The replacement card fee is $20 and the entire process will only take a few minutes.
If you participate in the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program and your card is lost or stolen, it cannot be used without the PIN. To deactivate the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program, contact UW Credit Union at 800-533-6773, or deactivate the card through Web Branch. Once the TitanCard is replaced, visit any UW Credit Union branch to link your TitanCard to the checking account.
Q-5) My TitanCard doesn’t work anymore, what should I do?
Go to Titan Central. Serious damage to your card may cause the magnetic stripe or iClass antenna to malfunction. "Melting" your card in a washer or dryer, scratching the magnetic stripe, punching holes in the card or having it become bent from keeping it in your back pocket unprotected are all examples of events that may cause enough damage to your TitanCard to make it malfunction. If you bring your damaged card to Titan Central, we can make you a new TitanCard. There is a $20 fee for a replacement card.
Q-6) What are Titan Dollars?
Titan Dollars are an on-campus debit program administered by the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. It is not affiliated with any financial institution. Once a deposit is made into your Titan Dollar account, it creates a declining balance account for on-campus purchases. Students living in the residence halls will receive 150 Titan Dollars per semester (Fall & Spring), which is charged directly to your student account. The 150 Titan Dollar allocation will be available for use the Monday prior to move in for fall semester and the Monday prior to the start of classes in the spring semester. Titan Dollars carry over from Fall Semester to Spring Semester, but you must use your Titan Dollars by the last Friday of Spring Interim each year or they will be forfeited. UW Oshkosh Gift Cards, which are valid for 5 years after the date of purchase, may be purchased with unused Titan Dollars before the end of Spring Interim and can be used in the same manner as Titan Dollars.

Titan Dollars may also be used at Titan Central to purchase UW Oshkosh Gift Cards, laundry and dry cleaning services, and tickets to events at Reeve Memorial Union. Up to $25 per year can be used to pay charges on your student account at the Cashiers Office.
Q-8) What are the benefits of Titan Dollars?
They are safer than carrying cash
They can only be used for on-campus purchases
No worries about overdraft fees
Q-9) How do I or my parents add value to my Titan Dollars account?
Titan Dollars can be deposited in the following manner:
In person at Titan Central located in Reeve Memorial Union – with cash, check, money order or credit card.
By telephone at (920) 424-1234
Use the self-serve deposit station in Scott Hall that accepts $1,$5,$10 and $20 dollar bills.
By Mail to: UW Oshkosh, Titan Central, 748 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, WI 54901. Checks and money orders must be made payable to UW Oshkosh and include your student ID number.
- Online Deposits (GET Funds). As a convenience for students and parents, Titan Dollars can now be added on-line at any time of the day. GET Funds is a feature that allows students or guests to make a Titan Dollar deposit via credit card from the convenience of their own computer. This new program will also provide the ability to view your balance, check transaction history and report a lost TitanCard. There will be a $2.00 fee per deposit. Q-10) How can I find out my Titan Dollar balance?
Option 1: Log into GET funds--- For information on utilizing this convenient new service, go to GET Funds.
Reminder: First time users must register to utilize this service.
Option 2: If you have a UW-Oshkosh email account, go to the Student Portal at http://portal.housing.uwosh.edu and use your UW-Oshkosh email username and password to login. Once logged into the portal, you will see the TitanCard Balance module on the left side of the page. It will show the remaining balance of regular meals bonus meals and Titan Dollars that you have left on your TitanCard.
Option 3: When you make a Titan Dollar purchase, your balance will show on the receipt.
Option 4: Go to Titan Central and we will be happy to check your balance.
Q-11) How do I view my transaction history?
Option 1: Log into GET Funds --- For information on utilizing this convenient new service, go to GET Funds.
Option 2: If you have a UW-Oshkosh email account, go to the Student Portal at http://portal.housing.uwosh.edu and use your UW-Oshkosh email username and password to login. Once logged into the portal, you will see the TitanCard Balance module on the left side of the page. Click on the link in the lower portion of the module “View Your Usage History” and select start and end dates.
Q-12) Do Titan Dollars carry over? Expire?
Titan Dollars carry over from Fall Semester to Spring Semester, but you must use your Titan Dollars by the last Friday of Spring Interim each year or they will be forfeited. UW Oshkosh Gift Cards, which are valid for 5 years after the date of purchase, may be purchased before the end of Spring Interim with unused Titan Dollars and can be used in the same manner as Titan Dollars.
Q-13) Can I withdraw cash from my Titan Dollars?
No. Cash cannot be withdrawn from your Titan Dollar account.
Q-14) How do I receive a refund for my Titan Dollars?
Cardholders who have withdrawn from the University before the final week of the term or are no longer employed by the University may apply for a refund at Titan Central. Remaining Titan Dollars will first be credited toward any outstanding student account balance. Refunds will be processed and disbursed through the Student Accounts Office. The following are not refundable:

Q-15) How do I care for my TitanCard?
An antenna coil is embedded within the TitanCard . Damaging or altering the card is prohibited. Bending or punching holes in the card may render it unusable. Special care should be take to avoid magnets and/or other credit cards. Cardholders are responsible for replacement costs should the card become damaged and/or unusable. Replacement costs is $20.00.

Q-16) What is the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program?
The TitanCard UW Credit Union Program combines everyday banking capabilities with the TitanCard. It gives you the option to use your TitanCard as a PIN-based debit card linked to a UW Credit Union checking account. The card can be used at any ATM or merchant that accepts PIN-based debit transactions. The funds will be automatically deducted from your checking account.
Q-17) Who can participate in the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program?
Any student, faculty, staff or affiliate with a valid University of Wisconsin Oshkosh ID card can link the UW Credit Union checking account to the TitanCard. If you don’t have a new TitanCard, simply visit Titan Central in Reeve Memorial Union during regular business hours and turn you old TitanCard in to receive a new one. No replacement fee will be charged.
Q-18) Where can I get a TitanCard so I can participate in the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program?
Your UW Oshkosh photo ID card is your TitanCard. You can get your TitanCard at Titan Central in Reeve Memorial Union. For more information, visit reeve.uwosh.edu/titancard/.
Q-19) If I’m not a UW Credit Union member, how do I take advantage of the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program?
Simply bring your TitanCard and valid Class A ID* to any UW Credit Union branch. We’ll help you open a checking account and link your TitanCard to that account. You will also be able to choose your own PIN. You can then start using your TitanCard as an ATM card and to make PIN-based debit transactions that day.
Q-20) If I’m already a UW Credit Union member, how do I link my TitanCard to my checking account?
Link your TitanCard to your existing checking account at any of our branches. Remember to bring your TitanCard and a valid Class A ID.*
Q-21) Is the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program safe?
Yes. If your card is lost or stolen, it cannot be used without your PIN.
Q-22) Where do funds get taken from when I use the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program?
ATM and PIN-based debit transactions will get deducted from your UW Credit Union checking account only, not your Titan Dollar account.
Q-23) Can UW Credit Union add money to my Titan Dollar account?
UW Credit Union can only add funds to your checking account, not your Titan Dollar account.
Q-24) What if I lose my TitanCard that’s linked to my UW Credit Union checking account?

Q-25) Is my TitanCard a Qualifying Service with Rewards Checking or Campus Package?
A) Using your TitanCard UW Credit Union Program account monthly is a Qualifying Service for Visa® Debit Card, ATM card or linked TitanCard.
Q-26) Should I replace my current UW Credit Union debit card with the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program account card?
A) The Visa Debit Card is free and offers even more flexibility to use along with the TitanCard UW Credit Union Program card. You can use it to make purchases at merchants where a signature is required and to make online purchases.
