Student Convenience Program
Students living in the residence halls will be receiving 150 Titan Dollars per semester for use on campus for conveniences like laundry, food, books and other amenities on campus. In Spring 2008, the Reeve Advisory Council (with representation from USRH, OSA and other governance groups and constituencies), approved this decision and recommended that it be implemented in 2008-09. This change was proposed to allow for greater flexibility, convenience and use of Titan Dollars, which are no longer part of the meal plan. The 150 amount was established based on the past student Titan Dollar usage patterns and will be charged to your student account. Please click here to view details on becoming exempt from this new program.
The 150 Titan Dollar Allocation will be available for use the Monday prior to move in for the fall semester and the Monday prior to the start of classes in the spring semester.
Banking Option
The TitanCard is the one card that does it all and offers a banking option for your convenience. UW Oshkosh has partnered with U.S. Bank to provide banking services that can be linked to the TitanCard. Learn more about student checking on your TitanCard at the US Bank Student Banking Website.
Through a contractual relationship with U.S. Bank, UW Oshkosh offers optional bank accounts that are linked to the TitanCard. Students, faculty, and staff are not required to open an account with U.S. Bank and they do not need to have a U.S. Bank account in order to use their TitanCard for other card-authorized services, such as meal plans, door access, and library services. Many financial institutions are available within the community to meet personal banking needs, and UW Oshkosh encourages everyone to consider all options. UW Oshkosh followed a competitive procurement process in selecting and contracting with U.S. Bank and, as part of that contract, receives financial consideration that is used to defray operational costs of the TitanCard Office. These funds also support student scholarships and other institutional priorities.
