Taste of Oshkosh
It must be Winds-day.
This Tuesday was the annual fall Taste of Oshkosh, and man, it was memorable.
This year's Taste will probably be most remembered for its bizarre weather. I remember being at Taste last year and practically sweating the whole time, and this year I was bundled up in a jacket and scarf. The wind was also terrorizing the annual event where clubs set up booths to attract new members.
I'm sure most students had a blast watching me trying to pick the business cards and Reeve cups that kept flying all over the place, watching Amy scooping popcorn and screaming at random passerbys for free food, and watching Kimmie run around yelling the whole time and at one point grinding on me. Oh Kimmie...
Weather and insanity aside, it was a very enjoyable Taste. We were able to promote this blog and get the word out about what the Reeve Connectors do. Plus, I was able to hand out my fancy new business cards, which made me feel very adult.
Grand delusions, indeed.
During the whole event I felt like a broken record, saying the same thing every single time. I would tell people who I am, talk about my Lady Gaga blog post as an example, and then tell them about Taste of Nations Japan and how I will be presenting there. I could sense Kimmie rolling her eyes at me the whole time, which was confirmed in her blog post.
The highlight of Taste was probably the flash mob that took place in front of Polk. Unfortunately I wasn't able to practice for it, but the dance was amazing. It was cool to see some of my friends and coworkers bust a move right in the middle of campus. You haven't lived until you've seen Petra Roter get down in the middle of UWO. If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out.
Also, thanks to everyone who stopped at our booth! We greatly appreciate it.
