Human Services Organization...are you in?

 Hi there!

My name is Amanda Sunila and I am currently a senior here at UWO. I am majoring in Human Services Leadership and currently serve as the Human Service Organization’s (HSO) president. I will be graduating with my HS degree this December and am looking forward to working with young children as a child advocate.

The HS major is great for anyone who likes helping people and is interested in working in a service field or with any non-profit organizations. As many majors on campus, we have a club for all HS majors or anyone interested in the Human Services field. Human Services Organization is actively involved on campus with Hands on Oshkosh, Relay for Life and we are a major partner in the MDA Bowl-a-thon. We have previously been involved with numerous hands on Oshkosh events, Halloween carnivals in the Underground, Relay for Life, and the MDA bowl-a-thon. Last year we also adopted a family during Christmas time and bought them presents and other items they needed. This fall we are planning to sponsor a blood drive, host a book drive and work with the Greek community on their campus-wide philanthropy event with St. Jude: "Up 'til Dawn."

We would love to see you at one of our meetings. They are Monday nights at 7pm in Reeve. We have two more meetings this semester, but we would love to see you next fall! If you're interested in attending, or want any other information about the Human Services Leadership program, please feel free to contact me at sunila73@uwosh.edu
