Organization Development Series
The Student Leadership & Involvement Center hosts workshops meant to provide development opportunities for students and organizations. These workshops are open to all students.
Connect, learn and grow through training!
Several training opportunities will allow you to increase membership, strengthen skills and add support to your ever-growing organization. We hope to see you at the following:
Organization Transition Workshop
The hour workshop shares necessary information that you will need to jump start your group.

Org Finances Workshop
We will review the Student Allocations Process, discuss budget planning, reconciling accounts, the campus WISDM program and payment forms for University accounts.

Marketing Workshop for Orgs
Learn ways to get messages out about your group or the events that you host. The workshop will cover basics to marketing to campus students and the resources available.

Organization Orientation & Training
This training is MANDATORY for all presidents and open to all members of organizations & clubs The training will cover orientation material, workshop sessions and in-depth training on the new OrgSync program. Advisors are welcome to attend.

Does your group have a supportive communication climate? Do you offer a warm welcome to new members? Can you make effective decisions and manage conflict? If you can't answer yes to all of these questions, come join us for a one hour workshop on group communication and climate. In this interactive workshop, Dr. Jennifer Considine, a UW Oshkosh Speech Communication Professor, will lead you through several exercises designed to improve your group communication skills. The workshop will focus on the following:
· Using verbal and nonverbal communication to create a supportive climate,
· Practicing effective listening behaviors to encourage open communication, and
· Initiating and resolving conflict productively.
